8-2018 Current Volcanic Activity

This is just an overview of the current volcanic activity.

Volcanoes are becoming active across the world. The increase is unbelievable. Many, long dormant or extinct are waking up. I saw Mt Etna & Italy on the list for July. Plus the plate of Australia  is moving northward causing the crust to thin on the southern edge & creating Maars which are infiltrating the soil & water table.

We also have the gasses off the coast of LA indicating a possible fissure or flood basalt  volcano. Those are the kind that ooze. Like Hawaii. And the new Pine Island active volcano in Antarctica under a glacier.

Just a couple days ago, I mentioned volcanoes in the US which could become active. One of them was Yellowstone. They just found a new 100ft fissure above a 45 mile wide super volcano & shut down part of the park this week. If this super volcano goes off, it will spew ash & Lava from Canada to Mexico in a massive explosion.  This new fissure is a very bad sign. But they aren’t worried. Can’t hinder tourism.

For the last few days, New Zealand’s Vanuatu volcano has been spewing ash 12 kilometers high & causing explosions under the lake. When ash columns go that high, there is extreme danger it will collapse upon itself & become a pyroclastic flow like Pompeii but the fools at Smithsonian, are telling them the danger level is 3 of 5 & don’t even mention the pyroclastic flow danger from a high ash column. 12 km is about 30,000 ft. Even I know this. I’m not a volcano expert but my research seems to have superceded the volcano warning team’s competency level. The ash fall is impacting the NZ food, water & health.

I’m sure you’ve all heard of Krakatau in Indonesia. Or at least those of you over 50. It has become active again the last few days. It is famous as a killer volcano.

I’m only mentioning the famous volcanoes but each of the following countries have several volcanoes becoming active & shooting plumes in the air. This is the first time I’ve heard of a volcano in France (Indian Ocean). Several in Guatemala, Russia, Costa Rica, Mexico, more in Indonesia. Several in Japan, Java, Ecuador, Chili, Peru, Hawaii & Alaska.

Etna & Stromboli in Italy. Even one in the UK. I didn’t know they had one. (Sandwich Islands) Nicaragua, Congo & Ethiopia as well.

Lassen in California last erupted in 1917 & seismic activity in 1992 could make it a threat.

The long valley caldera is another super volcano near Mammoth lakes which is about 300 miles long if my memory serves. They are dismissing recent seismic activity, gas & tree kill to something else. This seriously concerns me.

St Helens last erupted in 2008.

We have over 1116 volcanoes in the US. What a shock.

Here are the links  you can look up more details beyond this week.

There are 3 pages of all US volcanoes on this link.

  1. nasa wants to save us from yellowstone by drilling a deep hole and pour water into it … crazy or what?

    • That tops my list on the scale of moronic. $3.6 Billion to do something that stupid? I’d let the volcano erupt. Just what do they think that water will accomplish. I think the NASA managers are encouraged to come up with new Honeydo ideas to present to Congress to get more money to justify keeping their jobs. That amount of money would keep JPL in business for 10 years. Unfortunately, they will kill 2/3rds of the US on this ridiculous foolhardy venture. Hopefully the planet will come apart or he will lose his job before it comes to fruition. Clearly they need Mr Spock’s fusion freezing device.

    • I was thinking about that Megatsunami video I attached to the post on Quakes & tsunamis. The volcanologist on there showed the chambers of a volcano & went inside one to show us the materials the Volcano is constructed from. It is that crumbly cream colored rock they used to build Rome & Pompeii. And the huge tunnel city in Turkey.

He mentioned how the chambers filled with water & were forcing the fault apart on the active volcano.

I’m willing to bet this guy at JPL/NASA who wants to drill Yellowstone is no volcanologist & no mathematician either based on his pricing.

If he forces water into the volcano, those rock column dams are going to shatter, allowing massive water into the magma chamber all at once & the sudden conversion to steam pressure is going to blow the top off of that supervolcano just like the Containment building roof when a nuclear reactor overheats producing hydrogen from the water which blows off the roof if not vented. If you try to vent a volcano, you get lava. If he gets his way, we are all toast. Not just the steam but the heat can produce hydrogen from the water just like a reactor. Hopefully his price tag will prevent it. Just like the movie 2012 or Crack in the World.

The Mammoth Lakes region in California is another supervolcano.

    • A bad sign. A super volcanic event could take out 2/3 rds of the US. We have two in the US. One in Yellowstone & the other in Mammoth lakes region. Plus the Krakatoa eruption following Hawaii. The planet is falling apart rapidly.

      • I’ve had some strange weather this past week. It has rained every day.

        A little lightning trivia:
Yesterday had some strange lightning behaviors. If my logic didn’t tell me otherwise, I would think I was being targeted. As I drove home from an appt, about 10 miles, a very dark storm was approaching. It was raining heavily in the distance. Oddly, the lightning behaved as if I was the target all the way home. The only place the bolts occurred was just shy of my car & nowhere else in this massive storm cloud front for the entire drive back.

When I reached my driveway the lightning was converged all around me & my house. I was worried about being hit by lightning during the 20 ft walk between the car & the house. But if I waited until the rain in the near distance reached my house, the mud on the sidewalk becomes slick like ice & I don’t need another broken leg like last spring from that very same muddy location.

The lightning was striking all around me & nowhere else but I reached the door & went inside & the lightning completely stopped the instant I was inside. Later, I watched the rain from inside for over 3 hours during which not a single bolt of lightning, nor flash or thunder occurred. Just a soft rain like occurs in California.

I opened the sliding door to check the temperature & immediately a lightning bolt tried to remove my head. I closed the door & no more bolts occurred for an hour until I opened the front door. Same thing. Another bolt struck. Then desisted the moment I closed the door. The craziest coincidence (?) ever.

No gatling gun lightning like my earlier posts. Those were generated by a drone but this weather was too bad for an expensive weaponized drone & there would need to be ground based cameras since the overcast would block satellite visuals except IR & Xray (although IR would show when the only occupant was near the doors.

The previous gatling gun lightning attacks were real. I saw the weaponized lightning come from the same cloud camouflaged drone & I have a photo of it hovering low over my yard for over 3 hours which is impossible with earths rotation unless the cloud drone was being remotely controlled to maintain position. That was the exact same cloud drone I saw shoot the gatling gun weaponized lightning a couple years ago. In fact, they nearly ran that cloud drone into the elevated highway because it was too low. Less than 50 ft high. But I have only seen these cloud drones on perfectly clear blue sky days with no other clouds.

Thus, this lightning behavior yesterday must be misconstrued; derived by the previous cloud drone sightings. They wouldn’t be using it in heavy storm conditions.

        Would they?

  3. Hello there,

I think you are missing Teide, a Spanish volcano in the island of Tenerife in the Atlantic ocean off the west coast of Africa.

Last eruption was back in 1909. Teide is one of the Decade volcanos in the world.

Thank you very much for all your help understanding what is going on.

    Many thanks,

    S

    • I appreciate the info. I didn’t list all of them. Just the famous names which is why I included the link to the volcanic activity site. It should list all volcanoes.

  4. I’m not a volcanologist and I already see the changes in the earths axis change in all volcanoes. Scientists always want to keep things hush hush. What will be will be, we can’t panic just live a day at a time that’s all we can do. Especially the weather change.
It doesn’t matter if you are rich, middle or poor we the people must make the best life we can. Please keep the info coming. I’m very greatful. God bless you.

    • I don’t believe in panic. Just reasonable preparation & planning just in case we may need it. It’s useful for storms, floods & bad weather & worst case scenarios.

Being informed helps our planning & survival; even if it is just a flood, hurricane, tornado, or some other bad weather or calamity.

l try to keep up with the global conditions so we can see what’s coming. There’s no denying the sun, heat waves & weather no matter what they say to divert us. At least they can’t hide it. But we can’t expect the truth from them. I see people on the internet asking questions & only getting lies. That jeopardizes their well being if they don’t prepare & plan. Yet FEMA is at least telling them to prepare for emergencies. I’m trying to provide ideas & info to help people survive most situations.

However, before we try to evacuate, we should consider fuel & water availability on our route & whether our homes are safer or unsurvivable conditions such as floods.
